Forestry Tube Washing Day – Give Young Trees the best start
Join us for a day of cleaning, sanitising & preparing forestry tubes.
Every tree in our project begins its life in a forestry tube – a reusable pot that protects young seedlings as they grow. We use them year after year, unless they’re broken. However, before a new seedling can be planted in a tube, it needs to be thoroughly washed and sanitised. Clean tubes mean healthy roots, strong growth, and the best chance of survival when the seedlings are planted out into the landscape. By lending a hand for a day, you’ll directly support the next generation of trees
What to Expect
A day of mild exercise with purpose.
- Cleaning & scrubbing used forestry tubes
- Rinsing & sanitising to prepare them for reuse
- Bagging clean tubes ready for the field
It’s light, team-based work you can do at your own pace. You’ll get fresh air, a sense of achievement, and the joy of knowing you’re helping forests grow
Why Join In?
- Support revegetation — every tube you clean helps another seedling grow strong
- Gentle exercise — active but accessible for most fitness levels
- Community spirit — work alongside people who care about the planet
- Feel-good factor — see the visible results of your effort at the end of the day
